{midweek monochrome}

This is going to be my weekly attempt to say something with my camera.
An attempt at saying less, but hopefully, telling more. It might be utter gibberish at times, mediocre moments at others, so please bear with me while I fiddle with this big black thing hanging from my neck.

I'd love to know what the photographs make you think of.
The first word that pops into your head. The first thought. A book, a memory, a movie. Anything.

Too far

I'm also sending this off to Susan, at The Well-Seasoned Cook, for her fabulous photo event called Black & White Wednesday.

  2. Reminds me of early september time in birmingham - city center.They are close, yet so far, in their own worlds. It was so much better than being in each other's worlds, like once upon a time.

  7. I thought it was a nice photo but wondered why it was called Too Far, they look lost in their thoughts, pensive.

  10. Bravo Pia, what an absolutely wonderful blog you write. I devoured it in giant, chunky morsels and almost have a tummy ache. More than the recipes, it was the lead-ins to those posts that had me fulfilled. :-)

    PS: The only reason I skipped the recipes was because I am a food philistine and my musing on that won't be worth your time.

  11. Thanks for the lovely comment on the blog, vispy! it was the perfect thing to wake up to on a grey monday morning :) It made my morning.
    I completely understand your squeamishness about the recipes - I much prefer reading the stories behind the food. Also, you must tread carefully - there's coriander strewn everywhere.

  12. It is lovely, your blog; with or without the smattering of coriander. Please keep it up!

  13. Even though they are in NY, they are suffering some sort of ennui. Do you recall which restaurant this is? My first instinct is Pigalle, but I've a feeling not. Thanks for your great BWW street shot, Pia.
